by Brandon Sanderson
Another one of Brandon Sanderson’s novels in the Cosmere. The world is a wasteland and ruled by an immortal emperor the Lord Ruler. A hero tried to save the world before, but failed. Now, a heroine attempts to use the power of the Mistborn to save her world.

Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Fairies
by Heather Fawcett
A story about Emily Wilde, a Cambridge professor writing the world’s first ever encyclopedia of faerie lore. Emily arrives in the village of Hrafnsvik and has no interest in making friends with townspeople, except, annoyingly, her academic rival, Wendell does. Emily is close to discovering the secrets of the most elusive of all faeries, but is distracted by what she knows, doesn’t know and feels for Wendell.

Throne of Glass
by Sarah J. Maas
The ever so popular first series by Sarah J. Maas. We follow an assassin Celaena Sardothien who has come to the castle to win her freedom, if she can defeat twenty-three other’s like her.

Weyward
by Emelia Hart
This one is specifically historical fantasy. We are following the timelines of three women Kate in 2019 who flees London for the Weyward Cottage. Altha in 1619 who was taught magic and is now awaiting trial. Violet in 1942 who is in the middle of World War II and trapped not only inside family’s grand estate, by but societal conventions. Their stories are all somehow weaved together to create a novel of female resilience and power in the natural world.

Once Upon a Broken Heart
by Stephanie Garber
The first series in a trilogy. We follow our main character Evangeline who has made a deal with the Prince of Hearts, in order to stop the wedding of her true love. As deals with Fates usually go, Evangeline ends up with more problems than she anticipated, fame she didn’t want, and a Fate who has bigger plans for her than what she initially anticipated.

Divine Rivals
by Rebecca Ross
Iris and Roman are rivals at the Oath Gazette. Both have been writing for the position of journalist, during the time of war. Iris writes to her brother on the frontlines with her magical typewriter and puts the letters in her wardrobe, where they disappear and she assumes ends up with her brother. Except, they end up in the hands of Roman. We then follow as tragedy strikes Iris’s life and she decides to go to the frontlines herself, attempting to figure out what this war is truly about.

Ruthless Vows

This is the second and final book in the Divine Rivals duology. We continue to follow the story of Roman, Iris and the war that has strikes their world – but read the first one first!

The Cruel Prince
