Welcome to the McDonald Chronicles. A place where I share all about my love of reading and how I impose that on other people (kidding!). I love a good book, a cozy chair, a hot chai and a good independent bookstore.
I have always loved to read and I find that it has become increasingly harder to carve out the time now that I’m an adult, with responsibilities, and a mom. But one of the coolest parts of becoming a mom has been finding books to share with my daughter.
I thought it would be cool to document our reading journey here.
On top of that, I want to prove that it’s okay to find time for yourself to read, being an avid reader doesn’t mean you have to spend a gazillion dollars at the store and you don’t have to read what everyone else likes to read!
A Few Fun Facts About Me:
I love macaroni and cheese, pizza and mozzarella sticks. If I had it my way, these would be the main food groups and the things I ate on the daily.
I was a teacher for seven years and resigned after we had our daughter. I contemplated being a children’s librarian for a while, but decided it wasn’t the right path for me. I still spend many hours in the library anyways.
I once started a small kitchen fire making oatmeal. My cooking skills have slightly improved since then.
Spreadsheets are my love language. I create them for everything.
Much to my husband’s dismay, I love giving long historically heavy self-guided tours of every city we visit.
Let’s find your next great book!
